The edge is the plastic or Zicral part found on either side of your tool.
If the edge isn’t lowered, sharpening is difficult because the file will work on the edge first before working on the bevel.
This step should be carried out regularly throughout the season.
Three tools are available:
- The Edgerazor and the Edgerazor Racing: a simple and practical tool.
- The Pro Edge Tool: a professional-grade tool, with a range of parts and settings (showing round blade / square blade).
Both tools work in the same way.
Place your equipment on its edge and secure it with the clamps.
The clamps should be positioned facing you. Place the tool on the edge.
If necessary, adjust the angle of the tool and the depth of the blade so that it touches the edge.
Pull the tool towards you with gentle pressure.
Make two or three passes along the entire length.
Your edges are now ready.
