Essential Diamond-Cut Stones

Polishing the blade with a stone removes any particles and burrs left by the file after sharpening.
The aim is to smooth out any imperfections on the edge that prevent the blade from cutting properly.
Choose the hardness of the stone according to how you intend to use it.
- The Coarse stone (coarse-grained) helps to remove nicks on the edge caused by a stone. Please note that the 200 stone is so rough that it can scratch the base.
- The Medium stone (medium-grained) is the so-called all-purpose stone.
- The Fine stone (fine-grained) is very fine; it is the last one used for a precise, smooth finish.
Place your equipment on its edge and secure it with the clamps.
Position the bindings facing you.
Wear gloves and place the stone on the edge on the base side.
Pull it towards you, applying gentle pressure.
Make one pass along the entire length of the edge.
Then place the stone on the square and position the whole assembly on its edge.
Make 4 or 5 passes along the entire length.
For a good finish, run the rubber over the edge of the edge, from the tip to the heel, for 5 cm.
Your edges are ready!
