C++ DEVELOPER COMPETITIVE SPORT (M/F)

THE PROJECT

Since 1935, VOLA has been designing and manufacturing technical solutions dedicated to performance at the foot of Mont Blanc, ranging from ski wax to timing systems.

Are you looking to develop software for use in sporting competitions?

At VOLA, we have been designing timing, video processing and live broadcast solutions for over 40 years, used in skiing, equestrian sports and other disciplines.

In practical terms, your developments are fully deployed and in use.

They are used in the field, live, under real-world performance and reliability demands.

YOUR ROLE

You will act as the technical lead for our multi-sport and equestrian software:

Development of timing software (Msports-Pro & Equestre-Pro)

Analysing user requirements (clubs, organisers, federations)

Design, development, testing and deployment

Continuous performance improvement

Providing customer support (France and internationally)

Occasional travel to sporting events

You will be trained in the use of our sales administration system, developed in-house and known as Ventes-Pro. From product management to customer accounts, including purchase orders and invoicing, it forms the heart of our administrative organisation.

TECHNICAL STACK & ENVIRONMENT

C++ (object-oriented programming)

IDE: Embarcadero

Databases: SQLite, MySQL

Protocols: TCP / UDP / HTTPS

OS: Windows & Linux

Version control tools (Helix or equivalent)

Additionally (preferred):

OpenGL, FFMPEG

Video streaming (HLS, RTSP, RTMP, etc.)

Image/video processing

YOUR PROFILE

Minimum three-year degree in computer science

Significant experience in C++ development

Self-motivated, meticulous and a good team player

Business-level English (written and spoken)

> You enjoy understanding, building and testing… and seeing your software put to practical use.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Permanent contract – full-time, Monday to Friday > 8am–12pm / 1.30pm–5.30pm.

39 hours per week, including 4 hours of paid overtime.
